Note: In 2010-2011 we introduced certain “conditional” prime wagers, which resulted in nearly half of our prime selections going without action. We missed the opportunity to play, but the bottom line has improved significantly. Also note: A brief explanation regarding winning action play wagers. These wagers typically involve the selection of a winner, and/or exacta of two or three runners and/or a trifecta (usually a keyed wager) in each race. At times these selections express the use of the winner in the first position in both (or all three wagers) and at other times, the exacta and trifecta selections reflect a saver scenario. In any case, the returns reported reflect $2 wagers on all winning selections made. Last year, winning action play selections yielded a $5.50-1 return. The author does not presume the ultimate construct of the readers wager.
