Daniel Centeno is our 2016-2017 Tampa Bay Downs Jockey of the Year

Five years after his misguided winter move to Gulfstream Park, Danny has scratched and clawed his was back to the top notching his 6th Leading Rider crown since 2003.

He was 33% win for seven of the Leading Trainers this past year and eclipsed his nearest rival on the lawn by a wide margin, winning 3 for every 2 won by Edwin Gonzalez on the Turf.

His ROI has plummeted with his winning ways, down by 50% over the previous three seasons, but that comes with the territory.

Congratulations Danny!
